We then put the axle on to our lathe to straighten it. Also, we use the lathe to shape the axle to factory specifications. Restoring the axle minimizes issues that could occur in the future. Following that, we cut off any spindle ends on the axle that has been damaged. Then, we take our replacement spindle end that we manufacture in-house. We use that replacement spindle end and weld it onto the axle. The last step is we reassemble, paint and then fill the axle with fluid.

How do we do our Rebuilt Axle Assembly?

Our axle rebuilds begin with removing the components from the axle. The specialists at HRA then take the axle to be thoroughly cleaned. We will then use a high-quality OEM replacement ring and pinion set to replace the ring and pinion on the axle. The next step is to replace the axle bearings. We like to use Timken for our bearings. Timken makes the industry benchmark for bearings and is well known in the industry. After that, we replace the axle shafts with a high-quality refurbished axle shaft that has been thoroughly inspected. If required we will use a new axle shaft. if a rotor is bolted behind the hub we will then turn or replace the rotor. Doing this allows us to make sure a brake pad can be properly applied. And finally, we reassemble, paint and fill the axle with fluid.
