What is the most useful way to know if your axle is damaged?

Uncertain if your axle has been damaged? You may have run into a curb too hard or drove over a large pothole, your axle may have been damaged. If you have, you may experience some of the following as you drive if your axle has been damaged. To make sure the damage doesn’t get worse if you do experience some of these go to your auto repair shop and get them to inspect your axle.

  • Noise – The noise from axle damage will often be generated from gears no longer meshing together properly. This causes the gears to grind or knock against each other while you drive. The axle just needs to get a dent or a bend for this to happen.
  • Vibrations – A strong vibration will be felt when driving your vehicle from the axle damage. The feeling can also feel more intense as you turn the steering wheel, also.
  • Leaks – You may see fluids leaking from the axle. This is caused by a crack or a dent in an axle. This is a cause for concern because the axle may no longer be properly lubricated.

We remanufacture, modify, and rebuild differentials

As you drive your vehicle, your differential may become damaged just from normal wear and tear over time. If you do not wish to completely replace your differential as it fails, rebuilding and remanufacturing the differential are great options. Remanufacturing replaces any damaged or worn-out part after an inspection has taken place. Rebuilding the differential differs from remanufacturing in the following ways. After cleaning and inspecting the parts on the differential we will repair what we can and only replace parts as needed. We are also able to modify the differentials. This could be making modifications so that the differential works better for off-roading.
