How is a Repaired Axle Assembly done?

Initially, for the axle to be repaired it must be disassembled first. Various components of the axle, such as the ring gear, axle shafts, rotors, and bearing sets are torn down to the bare housing. The pinion bearing and shaft are kept in place. A lathe is used to straighten the axle and is important to use. Using a lathe allows our experts to prevent issues from happening later on and to factory specifications. We then welded onto the axle our in-house-built replacement spindle end when your spindle end is damaged. Reassembling, painting, and filling fluid in the axle completes the repair.

What is involved in a Rebuilt Axle Assembly from HRA?

As with the repaired axle assembly, the axle is stripped down to the bare housing. Then the axle is cleaned thoroughly. Next, a high-quality OEM ring and pinion is used to replace the old ring and pinion. Timken replacement bearings are used to replace the bearings in the axle. Timken is the industry benchmark for bearings and is why we use them in our axle rebuilds. Used axle shafts we have previously inspected to ensure safety are used to replace the axle shafts. Following that, if a rotor is bolted behind the hub, the rotors are turned or replaced so that new brake pads can be applied. The process is completed with the reassembly of the axle. It is then painted and filled with fluid.
