Additionally, you can trust our axle rebuild and repairs as they are covered by our warranty. We also can modify the axles for any use also. For example, narrowing an axle for hotrods or modifying the axles for off-roading purposes.

How does an axle get repaired?

The initial step in our axle repairs removing all the components from the axle. We do this to clean and inspect the parts and also expose the bare housing. Next, we remove the ring gears, axle shafts and bearing sets from the axle. Following that, we then place the axle on our lathe. Our experts then straighten the axle by using our lathe. The lathe also allows us to restore the axle to factory specifications. Also, our lathe allows us to prevent any future issues from occurring. We then replace any axle spindle ends that are damaged. We build our replacement spindle ends in-house, you also can’t buy them separately. Lastly, the axle is then painted, reassembled and then filled with fluids.

What are our Axle Assembly Rebuilds?

Our experts at HRA first take the axle apart, we do this to inspect the components and also expose the bare housing. Then, we clean all of those components thoroughly. Our experts then replace the ring and pinion set and replace them with a high-quality OEM replacement. We then replace all the bearings on the axle. We trust Timken bearings in our axle rebuilds, they are also the industry-standard for bearings.

After replacing all the bearings with Timken bearings we replace all the seals on the axle. Following that, we then use our refurbished axle shafts that are thoroughly inspected to replace the axle shafts on the axle. If needed we can also use new axle shafts. Then, we need to replace the brake pads. To do this we first check if a rotor is bolted behind the hub. We then turn or replace the rotor, this allows us to make sure the brake pad is applied properly. We then apply the brake pad. Finally, we reassemble the axle, then paint it and fill the axle with fluids.
