Additionally, you can rely on our axle repair and rebuild services as they are covered by our warranty. We also modify axles for any need. For instance, we modify axles for off-roading purposes and also narrow axles for hot-rodding.

How does a bent axle get repaired?

The first step in an axle repair is to remove the components from the axle. We remove them to also expose the bare housing. We remove the ring gears, bearing sets and also axle shafts from the axle. Then we place the axle onto our lathe. The lathe allows our experts to straighten the axle and also restore it to factory specifications. By using our lathe the axle also will not have any issues in the future. Any axle spindle ends that are damaged are then replaced with our in-house built spindle end replacements. Finally, the axle is painted and reassembled and then filled with fluids.

What is our process for our Axle Assembly Rebuilds?

Our first step in the axle rebuild process begins by getting to the bare housing of the axle. The experts at HRA disassemble the axle removing components on the axle. Then, we thoroughly clean all parts of the axle. We then replace the ring and pinion set from the axle and replace it with a high-quality OEM replacement. For the next step, we then use Timken bearings. We then replace all bearings on the axle with Timken bearings.

Following that, we replace all the seals on the axle. By using our thoroughly inspected refurbished axle shafts we then replace the axle shafts. If necessary, we can also use new axle shafts instead. Then we replace the brake pads. To do this we then check if a rotor is bolted behind the hub. If there is, then we rotate or replace the rotor to make sure the brake pad is properly applied. Then we reassemble, paint and fill the axle with fluid.
