The axles we rebuild can also be modified for any purpose you might have, such as narrowing an axle for hotrod vehicles and upgrading a differential for an off-road vehicle.

What the steps for a Repaired Axle Assembly?

First, for a repaired axle assembly to be done, the axle is disassembled. The ring gear, axle shafts, rotors, and bearing set are removed from the axle leaving the bearing and shaft in place and revealing the bare housing of the axle. For the axle to be straightened, the axle is put onto a lathe. Using the lathe stops future issues from occurring. Additionally, the lathe allows us to repair the axle to factory specifications. Our manufactured in-house replacement spindle end is welded onto the axle after the damaged spindle end has been cut off. Finally, the last step is to reassemble the axle, paint, and fill the axle with fluid.

What does a Rebuilt Axle Assembly involve?

The first step for rebuilding an axle is removing the attachments to the axle to reveal the bare housing. Following that, cleaning of the axle is done, inside and out. A high-quality ring and pinion provided by an OEM are used to replace the ring and pinion on the axle. Then, the bearings on the axle replaced. As a result, the bearings we use are from Timken, they manufacture the highest quality bearings and are the industry benchmark in their industry. Next, the seals in the axle are replaced. Our axle shafts come from previously used axles that have been thoroughly inspected before being used. Additionally, if a rotor is bolted behind the hub, the rotors are then replaced or turned making sure replacement brake pads can be applied to the brakes. The last step is reassembling the axle, painting, and then filling the axle with fluids.
